What an amazing day ive had.

A 1-2-1 session with Jedi at Woburn Sands. I know a couple of you have ridden with Jedi before and the rest of you will be pretty familiar with his skills. That however is of no consequence, what is important is the amazing way that he can see so much detail of your riding and mentally pick faults at amazing speed but he doesnt let you realise this because his people skills are as good as his bike handling.

He didnt so much let me see where i was going wrong, as allow me to feel what it is like when it goes right, subsequently i knew if i was forgetting the key points.
He had me looking so far ahead that i was focusing on next weeks ride.
He gave me the words so that i could talk myself through every section, before i got to it allowing my bike to flow.
Everything was started small, but the course moved along at exactly the right pace. I never felt pushed, but at the same time I never felt that i was doing something to death by repetition.

I really cannot do the day justice as im still buzzing and will be all weekend.
I feel as though i know what im doing now, i know when im getting it wrong and i know what it should feel like, from drops to tight loose off camber corners.

I dont need to wish jedi good luck with UK Bike Skills - shit like this sells itself.

Day finished with beer and chips!

the shit bits:
it rained all the way home in the car
the speed bumps did my already blowing exhaust no favours

the best bits:
being told by some random full faced/full suss rider that i was looking silky smooth - i didnt even see jedi pay him, must have been set up in advance
developing the confidence to do a very large steep rooty rolldown.

im going to aston hill next week - the trails there are overdue a mleh pwning
im going back to cwm carn soon enough, that road drop...... enough said.
